Lesley Mandujano Killed in Garland Two-Vehicle Crash at Country Club Drive and US 66; Lonnie Komahcheet Arrested

Garland, Texas (April 30, 2021) – A 25-year-old was killed on April 21 in a DWI crash in Garland, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened just before midnight, at the intersection of Country Club Drive and U.S. 66.

Authorities said Lonnie Komahcheet, 19, ran a red light and slammed into another car at the intersection.

The impact caused the second car to hit a telephone pole.

The driver of the second car, Lesley Mandujano, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Komahcheet was arrested at the scene and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. He was taken to the Dallas County jail.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
