LPD Officer Hospitalized After Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at 98th Street and Avenue P

Lubbock, Texas (May 9, 2020) – A Lubbock police officer was injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash at a Lubbock intersection, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. May 8, in the area of 98th Street and Avenue P.

Police said the officer was driving eastbound in the 1600 block of 98th Street when they crashed into a Nissan Murano, which was turning southbound onto Avenue P.

The officer was taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Murano driver, 23-year-old David Luna, was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
