Luis Garcia, Marcos Hernandez Injured in Fatal Hudspeth County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 62/180
Hudspeth County, Texas (August 12, 2019) – Two people were seriously injured in a fatal head-on collision Saturday morning in Hudspeth County, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened around 5:45 a.m. Saturday, August 10, on US 62/180, at milepost 77, east of the Border Patrol checkpoint and west of FM 1111.
DPS said a Honda Accord was traveling westbound on 62/180 when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup towing another vehicle.
The driver of the Accord was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Ford, Luis Angel Garcia, 22, and his passenger, Marcos Hernandez, 30, sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to a hospital.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
