Luis Gomez Killed, Milton Gomez and Johnnie Washington Injured in Robertson County Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 6 near OSR

Robertson County, Texas (March 19, 2022) – One person was killed, and six others were injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Robertson County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:00 a.m., on March 16, on State Highway 6, about one mile north of OSR.

DPS said a Freightliner truck tractor towing a trailer struck a Ford van that was exiting a private driveway.

The Freightliner driver, 70-year-old Johnnie Washington of Bryan, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A passenger in the van, 46-year-old Luis Gomez, was taken to CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The van driver, 20-year-old Milton Gomez, was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

Four other passengers in the van were taken to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
