Man Dead, Two Paramedics Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash at West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road in West Oak Cliff

28-Year-Old Man Killed, 2 Paramedics Hospitalized after West Oak Cliff Ambulance Crash at West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road
West Oak Cliff, Texas (February 10, 2019) – A 28-year-old man was killed, and two Dallas Fire-Rescue medics were injured in a traffic accident involving an ambulance, early Sunday morning, in West Oak Cliff, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:15 a.m. at West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road.
Police said an ambulance was heading westbound on West Davis Street, responding to a medical emergency, when a pickup truck which was traveling southbound on North Westmoreland Road, ran a stop light at the intersection and slammed into the ambulance.
The driver of the pickup and two paramedics in the ambulance had to be extricated from the wreckage. The three were taken to the hospital where the pickup driver later died.
No further details were provided.
The police are investigating the crash.
