Pedestrian Dies in East Riverside Drive Crash in Austin

Austin, Texas (February 22, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Austin early Friday morning, according to the Austin Police Department.
The crash happened at about midnight on East Riverside Drive, just east of SH 71.
Police said a man in his 40s was trying to cross the street when a gray Jeep struck him.
The identities of the parties involved in the crash were not released.
Police said the driver was at the scene when the investigators arrived.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
