Man Hit by Vehicle on Airport Freeway in Hurst; Bamwesige Kisuuli Arrested

Man Injured in Hurst Pedestrian Accident on Airport Freeway; Bamwesige Kisuuli Arrested

Hurst, Texas (August 27, 2022) – According to the police, a man was hit by an intoxicated driver Friday morning in Hurst.

The accident happened just after 2:30 a.m., August 26, in the 200 block of eastbound Airport Freeway.

Police said the man had been involved in an accident with a disabled vehicle and was stopped in the outside lane, outside of his vehicle. He was then hit by a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Bamwesige Kisuuli.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Kisuuli was arrested and charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle – serious bodily injury.

The police are investigating the crash.
