Man Critically Injured in Kountze Train-Pedestrian Accident near Highway 69

Kountze, Texas (November 10, 2019) – A man was critically injured Saturday night after being hit by a train in Kountze, a local news source reported.

The accident took place around 9:00 p.m. on November 9, on the railroad tracks near highway 69.

According to witnesses, the man was riding his bike on the railroad tracks when he was hit by a BNSS train.

The man was pinned under the train until first responders arrived and pulled him out.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The Kountze Police and Kountze Fire Department are conducting the investigation.
