Man Killed in San Antonio Train-Pedestrian Accident near NE Loop 41

San Antonio, Texas (April 12, 2022) – A man was fatally hit by a train early Tuesday morning in San Antonio’s Northeast Side, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 12:30 a.m., on the train tracks near NE Loop 41 off Interstate 35 South.

Police said the man was sleeping on the train tracks when he was struck by a train. The train conductor saw the man but couldn’t stop in time before hitting him.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The area, including the railroad tracks, was closed for a while as authorities investigated the scene.

An investigation is underway.
