Man Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on South Loop 610 in Houston

Man Injured in Houston Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on South Loop 610

Houston, Texas (November 11, 2019) – A man was injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident early Monday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The accident happened around 3:00 a.m. on the 610 Loop near 288.

Police said a man and a woman were traveling on the loop when they began an argument. At some point, the man driving the car stopped his vehicle in a moving lane of traffic, got out, and started walking.

A patrol officer who was nearby saw the car and pulled up behind it. As the officer was advising the man to get off the freeway, another vehicle hit the man. The impact sent the man flying onto the shoulder of the roadway.

The driver who hit the man left the scene.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The authorities are looking for the suspect, who is facing charges of failing to stop and render aid.

An investigation is ongoing.
