Man Injured in Hit-and-Run on Ben White Boulevard in Austin

Man Critically Injured in South Austin Pedestrian Accident on Ben White Boulevard at James Casey Street

Austin, Texas (December 15, 2022) – According to the police, a man was critically injured early Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in south Austin.

The accident happened just after 2:00 a.m., December 14, in the eastbound lanes of Ben White Boulevard at James Casey Street.

Police said the man was struck by a vehicle which then fled the scene.

The man was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The police closed the eastbound lanes of Ben White Boulevard between Banister Lane and South First Street.

The crash remains under investigation.
