Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-35E in Denton

Man Killed in Denton Pedestrian Accident on I-35E at McCormick Street Overpass

Denton, Texas (September 2, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning in Denton, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred at about 3:36 a.m., August 31, on southbound I-35E at the McCormick Street overpass

Police said the man was struck by a vehicle on the interstate. The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The man was then hit by a second vehicle. The second driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The police are looking for the hit-and-run driver. The vehicle was described as a dark gray, four-door 2008-2012 Honda Accord.
