Man Killed in East Harris County Pedestrian Accident on East Freeway

Harris County, Texas – A man was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in east Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened just after 10:00 p.m., January 13, in the 16000 block of East Freeway.

Deputies said the man was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by two vehicles. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the first vehicle stayed at the scene, spoke with the deputies, and was not intoxicated. 

The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene and the authorities are looking for them.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call HCSO at (346) 286-1600.
