Man Struck, Killed by Truck on Doniphan Drive at Redd Road Upper Valley

Man Killed in Upper Valley Pedestrian Accident on Doniphan Drive at Redd Road

Upper Valley, Texas – A man was killed Friday night in a pedestrian accident in the Upper Valley, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on December 15, at the intersection of Doniphan Drive and Redd Road.

Police said Jose Ortiz, 34, of West El Paso, was driving a black 2002 Ford F150 on Redd Road and was turning right onto Doniphan Drive when he hit the man who was crossing Doniphan.

The man, who was described as being between 40 and 60 years old, was taken to University Medical Center when he later died. His name has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
