Maria Ambriz Reyes Killed in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on Gulf Freeway

Houston, Texas – A 67-year-old woman was killed Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 5:35 a.m., December 25, on the Gulf Freeway.

Police said 67-year-old Maria Ambriz Reyes, of Houston, Texas, was driving a gray Mitsubishi Endeavor southbound when she lost control, spun out and was hit by a gold Chrysler 300 and then a blue Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. 

Ambriz Reyes was taken to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. 

The driver of the Chrysler, Krystal Ann Sanchez, was also taken to the hospital and was found to have been impaired. She has been charged with driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court #5.

The Dodge driver was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
