Mark Lancaster Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident at I-45 Rest Area in Navarro County

Mark Lancaster Airlifted after Navarro County Hit-and-Run Accident at Interstate 45 Rest Area

Navarro County, Texas (September 26, 2019) – A man was injured in an alleged hit-and-run accident Monday night in Navarro County, according to the authorities.

The accident was reported around 10:00 p.m. September 23, on the northbound side of Interstate 45 rest area.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2012 grey Dodge pickup was parked across several parking spaces at the southbound end of the parking area.

A Chevrolet Equinox was heading northbound in the rest area when it hit the Dodge. The Equinox also hit Mark Lancaster, 49, of Streetman, who was outside the Dodge.

Lancaster was airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with serious injuries.

The driver of the Equinox left the scene and failed to stop and render aid.

Investigators believe the Equinox to be white in color and a 2010-2014 year model. It may have damage to the right front and side.
