Matthew Waters ID’d as Man Killed in South Austin Motorcycle Crash on East Oltorf Street

Austin, Texas (June 14, 2019) – The man who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday afternoon in South Austin has been identified as Matthew Waters, 53, according to the authorities.

The wreck took place just before 4 p.m. June 10, in the 500 block of East Oltorf Street near South Congress Avenue.

Police said Waters was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Tundra that drifted into its path.

Waters was taken to South Austin Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

A woman in her 20s was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with major injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
