30-Year-Old Michael Arellano ID’d as Driver Killed in Austin Car Crash on Dessau Road

Austin, Texas (April 29, 2022) – Authorities have identified the driver who died Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash in Northeast Austin as Michael Arellano, 30.

The deadly collision happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the 12000 block of Dessau Road.

Authorities said a Toyota Avalon was heading southbound on Dessau Road when, for an unknown reason, it hit a Mazda Miata, which then crashed into a third vehicle.

Arellano, who was the driver of the Miata, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other motorists stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
