Motorcyclist Hit, Killed by Truck at Probandt and West Mitchell Streets in San Antonio

Man Killed in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident at Probandt Street and West Mitchell Street

San Antonio, Texas (June 2, 2022) – A motorcyclist was hit and killed by a pickup truck early Thursday morning at an intersection in San Antonio, according to San Antonio police.

The fatal crash took place shortly before 4:00 a.m. at the intersection of Probandt Street and West Mitchell Street.

Police said the motorcyclist was attempting to make a right turn when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction.

The motorcycle rider sustained head trauma and partial leg amputation in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The woman driving the vehicle told the authorities that it was dark and was having a hard time seeing the road.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
