Maegan Moorhead and Roy Sanford Injured in Jasper Three-Vehicle Crash on Recreational Road 255 at Sam Rayburn Dam

Jasper, Texas (September 11, 2020) – Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Jasper, according to DPS.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m., September 10, on Recreational Road 255 on the Sam Rayburn Dam.

DPS said 20-year-old Maegan Moorhead, of Jasper, was driving a 2003 Ford truck eastbound when she came upon stopped traffic. She failed to control her speed and rear-ended a 2014 Ford truck. The impact caused the 2014 Ford truck to rear-end a 2008 Toyota Tundra truck.

Moorhead was airlifted to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with serious injuries.

The Toyota driver, Roy Sanford, of Brookland, was injured in the crash and drove himself to the hospital.

The driver of the 2014 Ford truck, Paul Davidson, of Jasper, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
