Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Gulf Freeway in Houston

Houston, Texas – One person was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle accident in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The fatal crash occurred around 9:55 p.m., May 4, in the 11700 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45).

Police said a male was operating a red Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle northbound on the freeway when a northbound white Jeep Renegade changed lanes and the motorcycle rear-ended it.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the Jeep, a 25-year-old man, remained at the scene and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
