Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on S Capital of Texas Highway in Austin

Rider Killed in Austin Motorcycle Accident on S Capital of Texas Highway at MoPac Expressway

Austin, Texas (October 27, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic crash last week on Thursday in Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

The deadly crash occurred at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday, October 20 in the 2300 block of S. Capital of Texas Highway, west of the intersection with MoPac Expressway.

Austin Police said a motorcycle and two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes.

Two people, including a motorcyclist, were transported to a nearby hospital, where the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries the following day.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Highway Investigation Tip Line at 512-974-8111.
