Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Accident on South Staples Street in Corpus Christi

53-Year-Old Man Killed in Corpus Christi Motorcycle Accident on South Staples Street near Curtis Clark Drive

Corpus Christi, Texas (June 2, 2019) – A 53-year old man was killed early Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident in Corpus Christi, police said.

The deadly crash happened at about 4:50 a.m. Saturday, June 1 on South Staples Street near Curtis Clark Drive.

According to the police, the 53-year-old man was riding his motorcycle on South Staples Street when for an unknown reason he collided with a pickup truck that was traveling westbound.

Police said the truck driver, a 19-year old mam, failed to yield to the motorcyclist and didn’t see him.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was taken to Bay Area Hospital, where he later succumbed his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
