Natalie Jordan and Archie Reed Injured in Lufkin Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 103 at Stubblefield Drive

Lufkin, Texas – Two people were injured Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Lufkin, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m., January 19, on State Highway 103 at Stubblefield Drive.

DPS said Natalie Jordan, 21, of Pollok, was driving a 2012 Toyota passenger car westbound while Archie Reed, 65, was driving a 2010 Ford pickup eastbound.

Reed reportedly braked due to another vehicle waiting to turn left onto Stubblefield Drive, causing his truck to pull into the westbound lanes and strike the Toyota.

Jordan was airlifted to a Tyler hospital for treatment.

Reed was taken to St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Lufkin with non-life-threatening injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
