Neecy Reyna Killed, Santa Reyna Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 114 in Hockley County

Neecy Reyna Killed, Santa Reyna Seriously Injured in Hockley County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 114

Hockley County, Texas – A woman was killed and another person was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Hockley County just east of Levelland, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash occurred around 3:22 p.m., February 25, on Highway 114.

DPS said 40-year-old Neecy Reyna of Smyer was driving and was attempting to exit the driveway of a business along the highway. A pickup truck was traveling westbound when Reyna’s vehicle pulled into its path, and the two vehicles collided in the roadway.

Neecy and 44-year-old Santa Cruz Reyna, Jr. of Smyer were taken to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock with serious injuries where Neecy later died.

The pickup driver was treated and released at the scene.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
