Officer, Civilian Injured in Car Crash at Potranco Road and Fillmore in San Antonio

Officer and Civilian Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash at Potranco Road and Fillmore

San Antonio, Texas (November 1, 2021) – Two people, including a police officer, were injured early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened around 1:00 a.m., October 31, at the intersection of Potranco Road and Fillmore.

Police said a patrol car was blocking traffic for an accident that had happened at Potranco and Clover Creek. A man was driving a pickup truck when he came over the top of the hill and crashed into the patrol car.

The officer in the patrol car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The pickup truck driver was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers said the pickup truck driver might have had a medical emergency and was unable to stop in time before crashing into the patrol car.

No other information was available.

An investigation is underway.
