Officer Injured in Car Accident at South Main and South Loop in Houston

Houston Police Investigator, 2 Civilians Injured in South Main Crash
Houston, Texas (April 17, 2019) – A Houston police investigator and two civilians were injured early Tuesday morning in a traffic accident in Houston, authorities said.
The crash happened at the intersection of South Main and South Loop Tuesday, April 16.
According to the authorities, the investigator was driving an unmarked car at the intersection when a vehicle heading southbound on South Main failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the investigator’s vehicle.
The investigator sustained minor injuries in the crash. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle also suffered minor injuries.
The driver was cited for running the red light. Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
