Officer, Two Others Injured in Head-On Crash on Hwy 84 in Teague

Officer and Two Others Injured in Teague Head-On Crash on Highway 84 near CR 601

Teague, Texas – According to the authorities, a Teague Police officer was among the three people who were injured early Sunday morning in a head-on collision northeast of Teague.

The crash happened around 4:45 a.m., January 21, on Highway 84 near CR 601.

Authorities said a Teague patrol unit was traveling eastbound when it was involved in a head-on collision with a westbound Honda CRV.

The officer and a single passenger were taken to medical centers for treatment. The officer was treated and released a short time later. The Honda driver was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple in critical condition.

The roadway was closed down for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
