Officer, Woman and 1-Year-Old Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Richmond in Houston

Officer, Woman and 1-Year-Old Hospitalized after Houston Crash on Richmond
Houston, Texas (May 31, 2019) – A Houston police officer, a mother and her 1-year-old son were injured on Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in west Houston, according to a local news source.
The crash happened around midnight, in the 12100 block of Richmond.
Authorities said the HPD officer was heading westbound while the woman was on the way to West Houston Medical Center to have her son checked out because he was vomiting. As the woman was turning into the parking lot of the hospital, her car collided with the officer’s SUV.
The impact pushed the officer’s SUV into a tree. The woman’s car also ended up hitting a tree and some nearby bushes.
The officer, the woman and her son, were taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital with minor injuries.
Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
