One Injured in Big Rig Crash on U.S. 59 in Sugar Land

One Injured in Sugar Land Big Rig Crash on U.S. 59 near State Highway 6

Sugar Land, Texas (September 16, 2020) – One person was injured Monday morning in a fiery big rig crash in Sugar Land, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 7:00 a.m., September 14, on northbound U.S. 59 near State Highway 6.

Police said a black Chevrolet Camaro hit a big rig on the highway. The impact caused the big rig to flip over, and it careened down the highway.

The Camaro driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The big rig driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
