One Injured in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash on Sherwood Way

San Angelo, Texas – One person was injured on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, according to the police.

The crash happened on March 22, in the 5500 block of Sherwood Way near ongoing roadwork.

Police said traffic cones on the eastbound lanes diverted traffic into the far-right lane. When vehicles came to a stop at a nearby intersection, the driver of a silver Honda was somewhat distracted looking at some signage on the road. This caused the driver to fail to control the car’s speed and rear-end a white Lincoln.

The Honda driver was taken to Shannon Medical Center with minor injuries.

The driver of the Lincoln was allowed to leave the scene.

The Honda driver was issued a warning for failure to control speed.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
