Two Killed in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on Northeast 24th and Roosevelt

Amarillo, Texas (January 22, 2021) – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in Amarillo, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:32 p.m., January 21, on Northeast 24th and Roosevelt.

Police said a 22-year-old man was driving eastbound on Northeast 24th when he lost control of the car and crashed into a dump truck that was parked in a driveway at a house in the area.

The man and his 16-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

Officers said speed was a factor in the crash.

The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
