One Killed in Vega Two-Vehicle Crash on US 385 at I-40
Vega, Texas (April 7, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash, less than one mile south of Vega, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal crash happened on April 6, on US 385 at I-40.
DPS said a Peterbilt Truck Tractor towing a trailer was traveling northbound on US 385 while a Subaru was traveling westbound on the I-40 access road.
The Subaru failed to yield right of way at the stop sign and pulled in front of the Peterbilt, resulting in a collision.
The Subaru driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Subaru was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Peterbilt driver was uninjured in the crash.
The troopers are investigating the crash.
