Person Killed in Beaumont Pedestrian Accident on College Street

Beaumont, Texas (January 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle in Beaumont late Saturday night, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
The crash took place in the 3900 block of College Street at about 11:16 p.m. January 12.
Police said a vehicle struck the Beaumont pedestrian, who was trying to cross College Street.
The victim died of the injuries at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The victim’s identity was not immediately released pending notification of the next of kin.
According to the police, the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The authorities are investigating the incident.
