Person Dies in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Katy Freeway near Taylor Street

Houston, Texas (November 6, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by two vehicles Thursday night on a freeway in Houston, according to Houston police.

The fatal pedestrian collision occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on the Katy Freeway near Taylor Street.

Police said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the freeway when he was hit by a vehicle. He was then struck by a second vehicle.

The pedestrian, whose name was being withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers were not intoxicated and stopped at the scene, police said.

Police temporarily closed Katy Freeway for several hours during the investigation.
