Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle on MoPac Expressway in Austin

One Person Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on MoPac Expressway and North Capitol of Texas Highway

Austin, Texas (March 8, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday night in North Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

The deadly crash happened shortly before 8:50 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at the intersection of the northbound service road of MoPac Expressway and North Capitol of Texas Highway.

Austin Police said a sedan struck the pedestrian at the intersection.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.

The sedan driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
