One Killed in North Austin Pedestrian Accident on North MoPac Expressway near Steck Avenue

Austin, Texas (October 19, 2023) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening in North Austin, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened just before 8:00 p.m., October 18, on the North MoPac Expressway service road near Steck Avenue.

Authorities said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

No other information was available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
