Officer Injured in DUI Crash near Nacogdoches Road and Thousand Oaks Drive in San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas – An SAPD officer was injured early Saturday morning in a DUI crash in San Antonio’s Northeast Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The crash happened around 1:26 a.m., near Nacogdoches Road and Thousand Oaks Drive.

Police said the officer was on routine patrol in a marked unit when he was hit on the passenger’s side by a vehicle, which was exiting a private driveway.

The officer was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The other driver, a 60-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash. He was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm, leading to an additional charge of Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon. He was arrested and taken into custody.

The police are investigating the crash.
