Gregory Ivan Jackson II Hit, Killed by Car on U.S. 181 in San Antonio

40-Year-Old Gregory Ivan Jackson II Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on U.S. 181 near Old Corpus Christi Highway

San Antonio, Texas (May 16, 2020) – The man who was killed in a pedestrian accident Thursday night in San Antonio has been identified as Gregory Ivan Jackson II, 40, according to police.

The fatal accident happened around 10:16 p.m. May 14, on Highway 181 South, just east of Old Corpus Christi Highway.

Police said Jackson was walking in an unlit and very dark place when he was struck by a Ford Mustang that was heading eastbound. 

Jackson was wearing very dark clothing, and the driver didn’t see him because of the poor lighting in the area.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators said the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
