Person Dies in Fort Worth Train Accident at NE 23rd Street and Samuels Avenue

Fort Worth, Texas (September 3, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train early Monday morning in Fort Worth, according to a police report.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened near the intersection of NE 23rd Street and Samuels Avenue Monday, September 2.

As per the police report, the train was passing through the area when, for an unknown reason, it hit the pedestrian.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed pending family notification.

It was immediately clear whether or not the operator of the train stopped at the scene of the accident.

No further details were given regarding the crash.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
