Monique Ross, 4 Others Injured in Car Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway in Lubbock

Monique Ross and Four Others Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway at I-27

Lubbock, Texas (July 2, 2020) – According to police, five people were injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock.

The crash was reported shortly before midnight, July 1, on the westbound access road of the Marsha Sharp Freeway at Interstate 27.

Police said 19-year-old Monique Ross was driving an Infiniti G35 westbound in the 200 block of the freeway when she rear-ended a truck tractor with a trailer attached, which was disabled on the side of the access road facing westbound.

Ross and four passengers were transported to UMC for treatment. One of the passengers had serious injuries.

The Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
