Pedestrian Injured in Lubbock Hit-and-Run Crash near 51st Street and Aberdeen Avenue; Tyler Larrentree Arrested

Lubbock, Texas (May 23, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured early Monday morning in a hit-and-run accident in West Lubbock, according to the police.

The accident happened just before 1:00 a.m., May 22, near 51st Street and Aberdeen Avenue.

Police said a vehicle hit a pedestrian and fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Tyler Larrentree, 24, later returned to the scene. He was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center, where he was booked in for Failure to Stop and Render Aid and was being held on a $7,500 bond.

The police are investigating the crash.
