Man Seriously Injured in Far East El Paso Pedestrian Accident at Desert Sun Drive and Carlos Bombach Avenue

El Paso, Texas (May 13, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle Tuesday night in Far East El Paso, according to police.

The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. May 12, at the intersection of Desert Sun Drive and Carlos Bombach Avenue, in a residential neighborhood near Montwood and Joe Battle.

According to a witness, an elderly man was walking when he was hit by a car.

The driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

The man was taken to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The El Paso Police Special Investigations Unit is investigating the crash.
