One Seriously Injured in Austin Pedestrian Accident on I-35
Austin, Texas (May 19, 2019) – A person was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident Saturday afternoon in Austin, according to the police.
The accident happened at about 10:55 p.m. May 18, in the 15100 block of north I-35.
Police said the pedestrian was hit for unknown reasons by a vehicle on northbound I-35.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The involved driver stayed at the scene after the accident.
Northbound I-35 was closed near Wells Branch following the accident. Traffic was diverted off the highway at the 1825 exit.
The police are investigating the crash.
