Cody Sylvester Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Arnold Boulevard in Abilene

Cody Sylvester ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Abilene Crash on Arnold Boulevard

Abilene, Texas (June 16, 2022) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died early Thursday morning following a traffic collision in Abilene as Sylvester, 46, of Abilene.

The deadly crash happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Arnold Boulevard.

According to the authorities, Sylvester was riding his motorcycle on Arnold Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he swerved into the same lane as a pickup truck pulling a flatbed trailer.

Sylvester‘s motorcycle ultimately struck the left side of the truck.

Authorities said the truck driver may have been attempting to stop after the collision. It remains unknown if the driver was hurt in the crash.

No other details regarding the crash were available.

The accident remains under investigation.
