49-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Almeda Road
Houston, Texas (May 6, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in Houston, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 6:05 a.m. Thursday, May 2 in the 8500 block of Almeda Road near the 610 South Loop service road intersection.
According to the authorities, the 49-year-old man was crossing the street when he was hit by a black Toyota Camry that was heading northbound on Almeda Road.
Paramedics responded to the scene and took the man to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, May 3.
The driver of the Toyota, a 53-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
