Officer Daniel Rodriguez ID’d as Rider Hurt in El Paso Motorcycle Crash on Zaragoza and Roseann Streets

El Paso, Texas (May 23, 2019) – The authorities have released the identity of the motorcycle officer injured in a traffic collision on Thursday morning in East El Paso.
According to the El Paso Police Department, Officer Daniel Rodriguez was hospitalized following the collision that took place around 10 a.m. May 23, on Zaragoza and Roseann Streets.
Rodriguez was riding a motorcycle as part of a funeral procession when an SUV drive cut through the procession and hit him.
Rodriguez was transported to a hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was reportedly in critical but stable condition.
The identity of the SUV driver was not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
