Person Killed in SE Austin Pedestrian Accident near East Stassney Lane and Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (May 21, 2023) – A person was fatally hit by a car early Saturday morning in southeast Austin, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened on May 20, near the intersection of East Stassney Lane and the northbound I-35 service road.

Officials said the person was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a car. The victim’s identity has not been released.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
