Phyllis Hill Killed in SE Liberty County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 90 at FM 190; Robert Price Arrested

Liberty County, Texas (November 30, 2022) – A woman was killed Sunday evening in a DWI crash in southeast Liberty County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:39 p.m., November 27, on US 90 at FM 190.

DPS said Phyllis Koontz Hill, 73, of Raywood, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup and was attempting to turn off of US 90 onto FM 190 when her vehicle was rear-ended by an eastbound 2017 Dodge Ram.

Hill was airlifted to Kingwood Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Ram driver, Robert Darnell Price, 58, of Spring, was arrested and has been charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter and Driving While Intoxicated. He is being held in the Liberty County Jail on bonds totaling $252,500.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
