Rayanne Severson Killed in West Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash at Loop 338 and Yukon Road

Odessa, Texas (July 9, 2020) – A 17-year-old girl was killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in West Odessa, according to DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 8:28 p.m. on July 7, at the intersection of Loop 338 and Yukon Road.

DPS said 17-year-old Rayanne Severson of Odessa, was driving a Chevrolet Spark westbound on Yukon Road while a GMC Sierra was heading northbound on Loop 338.

Severson failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and was hit by the Sierra.

Severson was taken to Medical Center Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The GMC driver was uninjured in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
